In today’s high paced world of technology, more and more women are joining the ranks of technology professionals. Whatever your role as a female in the technology industry, having the support of other women is a powerful advantage.
Women in SharePoint (WSP) is dedicated to helping women working as SharePoint professionals reach their career objectives through a variety of community, training and mentoring programs.
Of special importance to WSP is its girls outreach program, which seeks to educate girls about the many intellectual and economic opportunities available in the field of information technology.
In the SharePoint community the women are happy to have the support of the males in the community. So many of the men have been supported by powerful women in technology.
Calling All Live Bloggers and Twitter People!
Women in SharePoint (WSP) is excited to be a community sponsor for the Best Practices Conference August 24-27, 2010 in Washington, DC. As a community sponsor, WSP will be coordinating live blogging of the event and assisting with other media coverage along with Bamboo Nation. WSP is honored to have this opportunity and is looking forward to working within the SharePoint community to make this event a success.
Live blogging allows conference attendees to share the knowledge they are receiving with people who are not able to attend the event. Bloggers only need to have a laptop and be willing to type comments, notes, or upload pictures into a live stream of the event, no previous experience is required. Viewers will be able to interact and make comments as well as ask questions. Live blogging an event allows the information that is being shared to have a greater audience than just the attendees.
